In 2018, we had a fun journey into our city, Sydney. It was about 10 in the morning and we were waiting at the train station, ready to make our journey into fun. It had hit 11:10 by the time our train had finally arrived into Town Hall station; the closest one to my Nan’s apartment building and from there we made our way to the giant skyscraper and met with my Nan inside, we greeted each other and with that my parents and me settled into the place; it was small but it had a nice atmosphere with a beautiful view across Hyde park and some parts of the city, there was also some old military boats in sight which added to the scenery.
// no pictures of the boats :( //
After that it was just about tea time and my parents, Nan and Orlando (my Nan’s partner) had some tea and I stuck with Milanesa which is a nice thin-cut breaded meat and some rice; we sat there talking for a while that I'm sure was about how things may have been in the city and Minto. Within 30 minutes or so we later left the building and we moved into the streets of the city and so our family walked around awhile, checking out some of the shops. One of the shops I remembered had a lot of knitting supplies and so we checked out there to have a little look around. The next stop was one of the big malls in the city, specifically Westfield and browsed around there for a while but I don’t think we ended up leaving with anything, things there are slightly expensive.
After browsing around in Westfield we ended up going around more and going through a clothes-store near Chinatown though I don’t remember the store name. Then we went into Chinatown, which had one of my favourite stores; named Morning Glory, also near Haymarket (suburb). Morning Glory sells things like Albums and Merchandise from South Korea, candies too.
After we’d been done with that, we headed back to my Nan’s building and for an hour or so we just relaxed there before we headed for the train station to go back home. And that was my 2018 trip to Sydney.
I haven’t gone in a long while and I hope to go again sometime soon to visit my Nan and Orlando in the city. I want to see if things have changed and I want to see some of the pretty views again. From what I remember the trip was fun, so hopefully I go again soon!
